If you have the Master number 11 as your Life Path, on top of the basic characteristics of the number 2, you have added strengths and also more intense challenges.

You need to be aware of the attributes of the number 2, which provides you with the foundational energy at work when you show an 11/2 as your Life Path number (or whenever it shows up in any other location in your chart).

Your special mission—on top of the mission outlined by the number 2—is to recognize and use your creativity, intuition and healing abilities for the benefit of humanity as a whole.

You can achieve this in a multitude of ways—eliciting an emotional response through dance, music, film or art.  Working one-on-one or in groups with various healing modalities.  Or you can write, entertain or teach.  Or you can engage in any other activity, service or interaction where you touch the lives of people on a grand if not somewhat subliminal scale.

Remember, you’re a double 1—which is all about leadership and confidence—and yet also a 2—all about harmony and love.  So you come with some special challenges to fulfill your mission.

Unlike the 22/4 Master Path, which you’ll learn is more practical in its application, the 11/2 is artistic, creative, and inspiring in a rather intangible way.

Understand that you are here to share your gifts through creative artwork or artistic creativity in whatever form you choose. Or perhaps you’re led more toward service or supportive roles in which you can have a deep impact.

Master Numbers 11, 22, 33:  The Ultimate Guide

Yet your contributions can often elude you because your creations change people’s lives, yet often not in a measurable way.  It’s like when you go to an exhibit and simply take in the piece of art and by engaging in that experience, the viewer is altered in some way.

It’s not tangible—people can’t put their finger on it. Yet they’ll go away from experiencing your work of art changed in some unspeakable way.

That’s the energy of the 11.

It involves more of a feeling or an indefinable experience rather than a practical, tangible “thing.”  Are you pulled toward any kind of applied art, music or dance? Many 11/2 Life Paths are superior musicians or singers. These arts are just a few potential outlets for your Master 11/2 energy.

The Master number 11 offers more of an etheric experience for both you and those around you. You offer people healing energies just by your sheer presence—you honestly don’t have to do anything.

The energy of the 11 is a high frequency vibration.  Do people ever tell you that they feel better after talking with you?  That they feel calmer or better just sitting in the same room with you?

When you’re feeling like you’re not doing whatever it is you think you should be doing on a grander scale (and you’ll feel this way a lot!), just remember that your being-ness is more than enough to raise the vibration of your little part of the planet.  Give yourself a break.

Many numerologist’s say that you’re a “dreamer” rather than a “doer.”  So you must work at getting your head out of the clouds and operating on terra firma

A 2 Life Path will go out of their way to avoid being in the spotlight.  A 2 is at peace and most satisfied when they’re taking the reins behind the scenes and just the thought of getting out in front of people can make you extremely nervous.

And yet the Master 11 (remember, the double 1!) pushes you into the spotlight and this will have some disconcerting effects on you.  All Master numbers demand that you take a leadership role in whatever capacity you are drawn toward.

Keep in mind you’re extremely sensitive to criticism and putting yourself out there will always bring criticism from outside forces—and that makes you very uncomfortable. You of all people really need to learn the art of psychic self-protection and not taking things personally.

You’ll have a nervous energy that you just can’t control (can you say anxiety anyone?)

You’ll lean toward impatience and criticism—both toward yourself and others—and you’re going to arm-wrestle with self-doubt.

The Master number 11 sets you up for doing battle with a fairly hefty ego (think Madonna, Tony Robbins, the late Dr. Wayne Dyer as just a few examples of the 11/2 Life Path), which is ironic because you volley from feeling totally inferior to loftily superior—back and forth.

This Master number sets you up for inspired leadership and achievement, yet you’ll most likely feel as though you’re jumping through perpetual rings of fire to get there.

You might even think of yourself as “The Wounded Healer” because your life provides you with plenty of obstacles to get your footing, embrace your high level of spirituality and intuition and then act upon your gifts in a way that will bring your message to the world.

With an 11/2, you’re at your best when you embrace and act upon your phenomenal artistic creativity.  You’re super intuitive and have a healing energy whether you’re directly working in the healing circuit or offering your energy to others through artistic work.

I call you “The Satellite Dish.”  You’re constantly receiving intuitive information and can struggle with putting it into practical form.

You’re at your best when you’re healing and transforming others through selfless service and artistic creativity. You’re meant to do great things, yet you can be conflicted. You have a tendency to question your work, feeling as though you need to do more, something different or something more important.

Develop the internal guidance of your intuition and you’ll have less difficulty discovering and acting on your true passion.

On the flipside, you’re working with the intensity of the double 1’s, which can bring challenges in not getting too carried away with your own self-importance. You can be loving, with an edge.

Your Life Path Explained

How to calculate your Life Path Number

If you’re only going to know one number in your entire Numerology Chart, I’d recommend that you know your Life Path Number.

This number is derived from your birth date and indicates your ultimate life’s purpose.  Knowing your Life Path Number gives you solid direction about what you’re meant to be doing in your life.

Yet also understand that what we came here to do will always be the most difficult thing for us to do.  That’s why it takes a lifetime!  Why would you sign up for a degree program where you’d already earned a Doctorate?  You’re here to learn something new and your course requirements are revealed to you through your Life Path number.

Always know that the key themes of your Life Path number indicate exactly where you’ll experience challenges and difficulties throughout your life as you go about learning to acknowledge and master your life’s purpose.

First you need to know your Life Path Number.  See how to calculate yours with the example below.

Calculate your Life Path number:

EXAMPLE:

JULY 23, 1989

  • JULY is the 7th month:  = 7
  • The day of birth is 23:  2 + 3 = 5
  • The year of birth is 1989. Add all four numbers together: 1 + 9 + 8 + 9 = 27; continue adding until you get a one-digit number:
    2 + 7 = 9

We now add the resulting single digits.

Month = 7      Day = 5      Year = 9

7 + 5 + 9 = 21

In Numerology, you always keep adding until you reach a one-digit number.

2 + 1 = 3

The Life Path Number is 3
